AMD Barcelona SpecificationAMD the one of two biggest, processor maker, has released new CPU architecture called Barcelona. This next generation technology using the first K8 architecture to make some changes on the AMD Opteron and Athlon 64 processor. This features is the enhancement of existing K8 technology.

After success launch dual core in single processor, AMD follow the Moore rule, Barcelona has quad core in single processor. With many enhancement, many tweaks, memory control, energy saving, and many new technology, this processor will boost performance.

AMD’s ACP measures the entire CPU’s power draw, including cores, memory controller and HyperTransport links. The measurements are conducted using “commercially useful high utilization workloads,” AMD’s Barcelona presentation.
