How to transfer mp3 from windows media player to ipod?

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

ipod.jpgIpod is another famous product from Apple inc. This tiny and slim mp3 player can saving hundred till thousand music in mp3 format.

The big problem is, you need to install itunes software to transfer your mp3 music to your ipod. Not every computer is ready to run itunes.

You can just copy your files to your ipod via any file manager because ipod will be detected as flash drive. Yes it stored, but these files can’t be played. Again you must use itunes to sync these files, so you will able to play it.

Any other software can be used to transfer these mp3? Windows media player?

Windows media player for now, especially windows media player 10, the default is not able to synchronize with ipod. You must use other software which can be integrated with your windows media player.

XPlay, at the moment is the best way for integrating iPod synchronization with Windows Media Player. This software costs $29.95 and readily integrates iPod synchronization into the Windows shell. You can synchronize music files from the Sync tab in Windows Media Player 10 or drag-and-drop files to your iPod from Windows Explorer.

With XPlay there is no need to launch an application. Simply drag-and-drop the music files you want into XPlay music folder. The music is automatically organized on the iPod. Inside the XPlay music folder your songs are arranged just as they are on the screen of the iPod. You can browse your music by Playlist, Albums, Artists, Genres, Composers and all Songs.

I hope this software can help you transfer and sync your music from wmp to ipod without itunes.
