Planning server’s architecture for your web hosting, email marketing hosting, or other application hosting is never easy. Sometimes we need hours to plan the best architecture plan for our servers. When we host a busy applications on hundred of servers, we should plan the best architecture.

The best architecture is a hardware and software server architecture who can handle busy applications and can response fast. Example of best server architecture is Google. Google can handle million of requests in a second. Google has thousands of servers.

So you have a website that have thousands request in a second and your web hosting company can’t handle it. Then when you move to quad core server, your server still can’t handle all requests. Then you need multi server architecture.

Grid architecture is one of multi server architecture example. Here is an example of simple grid server architecture for your web server or web hosting. In this example we need about 11 servers. Below are list of the servers:
•    1 load balancer server
•    2 reverse proxy server
•    4 web server
•    4 database server

Above architecture is very simple grid server architecture. Many web hosting or web server that use above architecture. That architecture is not the best one but it’s scalable.
